ABOUT US
In 2004, the Horsham Junior Soccer Club was established to introduce the youth of Wimmera to a new sporting experience. Since then, the Club has expanded its membership to provide young people of various ages and skill levels from across the region the opportunity to enjoy the thrilling sport of soccer.
From 2009 to 2019, the Club was part of the Ballarat and District Soccer Association. During this period, a name change occurred, and the club adopted the name Horsham & District Soccer Club -'The Falcons' for short.
In response to the pandemic in recent years, the club organised a junior internal-club program, including training sessions on Friday nights and competitive games on Sundays. This program has grown over time, with six junior teams participating in winter 2023 and a summer 5-a-side and Omegaball competition for both junior and senior players.
Due to the recent consistent growth in our membership, the Club has decided to rejoin a league competition to further develop players skills. In 2024, the Club joined the South West Victoria Football Association, fielding Under 12 and Under 14 Junior teams and a Senior team.
The Horsham (Internal) League and Miniroos train once a week and compete every Sunday at the home ground in Horsham. Emphasising fun and skill development, players enjoy soccer as a recreational sport and a means to stay fit. They also have their own competitions, with Best & Fairest votes awarded for every game and a competition Shield up for grabs in the Grand Final.
Additionally, players have the option to challenge themselves by training twice a week, whilst playing in our SWVFA squad teams to enhance their skills at a higher level. The Club also plans to introduce an all-girls team - highlighting our commitment to inclusivity and growth.
Powered by the dedication of volunteers and parents, the club continues to evolve and provide opportunities for its members to flourish in their chosen sport.
As interest in soccer and our Club's achievements grows, we seek to establish Business Partnerships within our local community to promote our sport, Club, and local businesses.
We invite your business to explore the Partnership options outlined in the brochure above and meet with us to discuss how we can work together to achieve a successful future for all involved.
